Services For Children
The positive approach and focusing on what my daughter is capable of is what has been the best part of our services and connection with KenCrest," -- parent of a daughter formerly served by KenCrest who now serves as an aide at one of our Early Childhood Centers.
KenCrest serves infants, toddlers and preschoolers who have developmental, neurological, orthopedic, behavioral and learning difficulties. Our multidisciplinary staff provides comprehensive services and supports. Specialized services are available in: Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, Transportation, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Nutrition.
All Early Intervention educational, diagnostic and therapeutic services, as well as transportation, are provided under an individualized plan, which is reviewed as needed. Parents participate fully in the development and implementation of the plans. KenCrest's services are funded by public funds and private grants and are without cost to the family. We provide services in homes, centers, and other community sites.
In 2006 the agency served nearly 6,000 children in their homes and communities. KenCrest's dedicated staff supports the healthy growth and development of each child in the context of the child’s family, culture and community. Partnerships with parents are essential components of each of our programs.
The range of services KenCrest provides to children and their families in southeastern Pennsylvania are extensive.
