A Week Of Celebration

September 12th-18th, 2021, was Direct Support Professional Week. On social media and our website kencrest.org/dsp-week/ we specially acknowledged the meaningful work of DSPs at KenCrest and across the country. We shared a series of stories from DSPs in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Delaware, spotlighting what their career means to them, what they enjoy most about working closely with people in the I/DD community, and more. In addition, we stood alongside governors and senators who advocated for higher wages for these frontline workers and took the time to write a message or post a video of appreciation for Direct Support Professionals worldwide.

Finally, one home prepared breakfast for their DSPs as a “Thank You” and a way to take a break from their work and socialize with one another.
