Virtual Reality Experiences are Back

The Enabling Technology team is excited to offer people supported by KenCrest the opportunity to explore Virtual reality (VR) —a way to experience new worlds, events, and activities without getting out of your chair! This could be a great opportunity for people with disabilities to take a virtual vacation, visit a museum, or even see a concert. They can explore old interests and find new ones. VR is also a fun way to “travel” and “get out of the house.”

KenCrest is offering VR sessions in the Pottstown, PA area and must be scheduled directly with the Enabling Technology department. The ET team will work with the individual and their support team to develop meaningful experiences. Joe McGuire will guide the “traveler” through sessions in a comfortable setting while following all COVID-19 guidelines.

If you are interested in learning more or hoping to schedule a session, please contact the Enabling Technology department by e-mailing Julie Daly at Julie.Daly@KenCrest.org or Joe McGuire at Joseph.Mcguire@KenCrest.org. Julie and Joe are both happy to demonstrate the technology to teams, discuss concerns, and develop person-centered plans for VR experiences.
