Meaningful Day Community Engagement

KenCrest’s Community-Based Services deliver personalized in-home and community supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Whether living at home with family, in a residential setting, or with a Lifesharing provider, our programs promote independence and inclusion.

We proudly support over 100 individuals across Pennsylvania, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties.

KenCrest is committed to providing person-centered care, fostering life skills, and creating meaningful community engagement opportunities for adults with disabilities.

Services We Provide

  • Habilitation Services: help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) learn and develop daily living skills to improve independence, enhance quality of life, support family caregivers, and foster community engagement.
  • Companion Care: support the people we support with their daily activities.
  • Respite Services: providing temporary care in place of a family member during times of need and provides a break for the people we support from specific skills or activities.

Everyone should be able to engage in the most important activities to them. Based on a supported person's needs and goals, KenCrest designs a customized person-centered program to help them make meaningful contributions within their community.

Supports include, but are not limited to:

  • Each person will acquire, maintain, or improve skills like personal care, computer skills, money management, navigating public transportation, and personal safety.
  • Socialization: becoming more connected to a local community, social group, or volunteer opportunity.
  • Healthy Living: participating in exercise routines, grocery shopping, meal prepping, and learning to make healthy life choices.
KenCrest Meaningful Day Program

Meaningful Day Community Participation Services

The Meaningful Day initiative helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live fulfilling, inclusive lives by encouraging participation in hobbies, classes, events, and outings that match their interests. Whether it’s art classes, bowling, yoga, visiting local parks and museums, or other activities, our goal is to build a stronger community based on inclusion and personal growth.

For KenCrest Residential Participants

We offer personalized one-on-one or group experiences focused on community participation supports for residential clients. Each program is tailored to the individual’s interests and skill-building needs, such as money management, shopping skills, and making purchases in real-world settings.
